Doctrinal Statement

We’re Always Excited to Welcome New Visitors

At Sand Prairie Baptist Church, we're always excited to welcome new visitors. We hope you'll join us for a service.

Our church is located at 12652 FM 1452 West Normangee, and parking is located along the front and at both sides of the church.

If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use one of the spots closest to the door. We like to keep them free for visitors and people who need assistance.

What should I expect when I visit Sand Prairie Baptist Church?

We believe it should be unmistakable and easily recognized that our church is truly the Lord's House filled with the Lord's people under the headship of Christ for the purpose of loving God, loving one another, our community, and the world. This is accomplished through the expository preaching of the Scriptures, Christian education, loving fellowship, and missions.

It is our desire for everyone who visits our church to hear solid biblical preaching and witness firsthand a church under the power of the Holy Scriptures. We believe this to be evident in the priority we place not only on preaching but in the educational ministry of our church as well. We encourage everyone to join us for Sunday school! It's a great opportunity to connect with one another, enjoy a cup of coffee and grow deeper in the Word together!

When you walk in,

expect to be greeted with kind faces and welcoming hearts. Friendly folks will be there to assist you with any questions you may have. Expect to find a genuine group of people who display authentic love and care to all those who attend our services. Visitors are given a welcome packet with information about our church and staff, followed with a hearty invitation to come back again!

During the service,

expect to hear the beautiful sound of worship as we sing the great hymns of the faith full of rich theology and glorious truths. Expect to listen as our young kiddos and teenagers participate in Scripture reading! Also expect to hear the sound of dear little ones, even during the service! We cherish the sound of our children and while we do have a full-service nursery, we welcome our little ones in the service also. Our children are such a powerful blessing to our church and a big part of our church family!

After the service,

please feel free to hang around, learn more about our church family and let us get to know you better. Our pastor would love to meet you personally! Please fill out our information card so we have a record of your visit and a way to follow back up with you to keep you informed of the different things God is doing in our church to minister to those around us!

Ministries

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works."

(Hebrews 10:24)

At Sand Prairie Baptist Church, we have a simple hope: to see people come to know Jesus Christ and grow in their Christian faith.  Our ministries are intended to bring glory to our Father in heaven by giving those in our church an opportunity to use their spiritual gifts to show the love of Christ in practical ways that are MEASURABLE and OBSERVABLE.

Childrens Ministry (1)

Children Ministry

Our Children's ministry is geared around making disciples. We seek to create a fun and loving environment for all Children where they can learn and witness by example the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ. We CHERISH our children and encourage their participation in our service by reciting Scripture in our Sunday morning worship. Children's ministry is available for all ages each Sunday morning at 10am. While our children are welcome to stay in the adult service, we also provide a Nursery equipped with staff who genuinely care for our little ones. Everyone serving in our church has passed a background check.

Youth Ministry

Our students are a very important part of our church. It is our desire to disciple our students in the truth of Scripture and equip them to minister to others in their own context. Our youth meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm. Occasionally we have food but a fun time is always had for all. SPBC recognizes the significance of our young people to the future of Christianity and our community. We participate in various activities throughout the year and attend summer camp.

Youth Ministry
Brotherhood

Christian Men's Brotherhood

We believe strongly that godly men are essential to a healthy church. CMB exists as an opportunity to grow in relationship with other men in the church and grow in relationship with Jesus Christ! In addition, the ministry addresses needs in the church such as building repairs, and routine maintenance. Our men also strive to help those in our community with certain physical limitations or other challenges for the purpose of showing the love of Christ to everyone. The "Brotherhood" meets the 1st Saturday of every month at 8am in the fellowship hall. See you there!

Christian Women's Fellowship

CWF is a ministry designed to reach ladies of all ages and the Lord has been faithful. Our ladies come from all different backgrounds and have been blessed with many talents and gift sets. We meet regularly throughout the year and have planned and organized events such as our annual Ladies Retreat, Ladies Tea, Christmas Fellowships and numerous church fellowships and fundraisers. Our mission statement is - JOY! Jesus first, Others second, and Yourselves last!
